Bloeming by Franziska Hauber, is inspired by handwriting and by the texture of writing. By the movement of the pen on the medium.
But it is also inspired by the relationship of writer and receiver. What is meant to be read? And by whom? This typeface is meant to be read.
But as it can appear it can also disappear.
Franziska Hauber is an artist and type designer working with lettering, mural painting, coding and exploring how variable and interactive type-systems can behave in physical and digital environments. She also develops workshop formats focused on creativity and visual expression. She sees the human urge to express oneself as valuable cultural resource worth preserving and continuously rethinking through contemporary tools and technologies.
